Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles is seeking an individual for the position of Technical Director for the Kirk Douglas Theatre. Qualified applicants should have proven experience in all aspects of technical theatre including design evaluation and cost analysis, scenic construction, rigging, automation, and personnel management. Duties include but are not limited to: determining the practicality and cost of entire set designs and specific aspects of property designs; oversight of the engineering, construction, and delivery of scenery, take-ins and take-outs; working creatively to develop acceptable solutions to ensure the practicality and safety of productions; and coordinate the procurement and maintenance of theatrical equipment.
