Sound Engineer
Take calls for onsite FOH gigs around the city of Houston. Meet with client and determine their needs. Design and EQ sound system for event location. Add outboard effects to vocals and instruments when requested. Setup monitor mixes for musicians including side fills when applicable.

- Perform FOH mix on Allen and Heath GL2400 mixing board for weekly rock, hip-hip, and variety shows at Numbers night club.
- Worked FOH mix for 10 bands at the Cinco de Metal Festival, including the headliner "Day of Reckoning" at Numbers.
- Worked as A2 for Montrose Winter Social with headliner "Shiny Toy Guns" at Numbers
- Work weekly showcases at Continental Club including Beatles night every Thursday with a Beatles cover band.

Interface with bands, ensembles, and touring theatre to create great sound reinforcement for 5 - 9 events a week. Place microphones for all types of instruments and music ensembles. Operate the Mackie ONYX 24.4 mixing board. Stage manage all shows as well as operate lighting board.

- Worked overtime for 2 week South by Southwest Overflow Festival, running sound for 12 bands a day.

Founded the venue in Hollywood and was in charge of converting a warehouse into a performance space. In charge of budget. Designed and purchased all sound reinforcement and lighting components and installed them. Performed all soundman and lighting duties for 3 - 6 music and performance shows a week. Scheduled and managed volunteers and trained them to work as stagehands and front desk operators. Handled administration responsibilities for events that involved finding and booking talent, communicating with talent beforehand for their tech needs and obtaining additional gear for tech riders, and finding other venues for overflow events. Provided tech support for all workshops including projection services. In charge of development for venue.

-Handled all production responsibilities and booking for Noise Pollination, a three day music festival. Was able to secure theatre next door and volunteers to provide extra stage for event.
-Developed the ability to get bands on and off stage in a timely manner while maintaining quality sound reinforcement in monitors and mains.
-Stage managed and helped to organize live shooting of "40 Bands in 80 Minutes," a major documentary for the Los Angeles underground music scene. Was responsible for coordinating 50 bands on and off the stage in a few hours

Completed sound design duties and live sound mix for 2 seasons of broadway musicals including Seussical, Chicago, Little Shop of Horrors, and While Childhood Slept.

-I researched and recommended that Applause Theatre buy a PA package to own instead of renting one for each production, saving them $26,000 over the next 3 years.
-Was able to create good sound and overcome obstacles such as a ceiling made out of metal
-Was able to troubleshoot faulty wireless mic performance by installing receivers on proscenium to cancel out unwanted noise from truckdriver radio frequencies
