RIGGER Our talent isn’t restricted to the stage. In fact, Cirque du Soleil has over 2,500 employees who provide support for our shows 365 days a year. Join Cirque! Reporting to the Technical Director and working under the supervision of the Head Rigger, you will be required to assist the Head Rigger in ensuring the safe setup, use and maintenance of rigging equipment used by artists during performances, rehearsals and training periods; operate rigging equipment during performances and rehearsals; implement, document and ensure compliance with the rigging equipment safety inspection program; participate in the setup, inspection and tear-down of artistic and structural rigging in the Big Top and the artistic tent; ensure that technical and temporary staff observe rigging equipment safety standards and regulations; work on a rotating schedule with swing technicians; carry out all other tasks requested by the Technical Director. Join our team and apply your college diploma (or equivalent) in live entertainment or theatre production (or equivalent work experience); your minimum of three years' experience as a rigger, your experience with aerial/human rigging an asset; your good general understanding of all technical aspects of a show an asset; your flexibility, autonomy, team player; your good communication skills; your ability to handle contingencies and work well under pressure; your ability to work high above the ground (climbing abilities essential); your fluency in spoken and written English – essential -, fluency in French - is an asset- ; your availability to tour full time and to work in foreign countries.
