Dark Star lighting & production is looking for a very organized, talented, and energetic person. Previous experience in entertainment lighting IS required. Must be computer literate and possess great customer service skills. Positive attitudes only - you must be passionate about your work and want to live in one of the best places in the U.S.! **DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU MEET THIS REQUIREMENT**: - Have common sense. Skills NEEDED for this position: - MUST BE ORGANIZED! - Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in the industry. - Working knowledge of temporary lighting, dimming, control, and support systems. - Possess the ability to Count and perform basic math funtions. - Basic understanding of automated lighting systems. - Ability to supervise and manage crews. - Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. - Stong computer Skills. - Clean driving record. - Grace under fire a must! Skills that will help: - Show prep experience - Ability to drive non-cdl trucks. - Familiar with Theatrical Video and Sound systems. - Good problem solver. - Knowledge of ALL Entertainment Lighting. - Understanding of theatrical lighting design. Duties include: Customer interface, rental quotes, rental planning, prepping shows, equipment repair and maintaince including keeping 10,000sf of shop clean and organized. delivering equipment, Driving trucks and trailers. Definite possibility for advancement in many areas. Applicants must be physically able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs. Appreciation for outdoors, ski and/or snowboard skills beneficial.
