Company Manger/Assistant Production Manager The Studio Theatre seeks a qualified individual to provide support to the Production Department for this 28-year-old not-for-profit arts organization. Will report to the Founding Artistic Director, the Associate Producing Artistic Director, and the Associate Production Manager. ___________________________________________________________________________ Qualifications needed: Previous theatre experience mandatory. Budget management and organizational skills a must. Attention to details important. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Drivers license required also capable of responsibly driving a 10’ company van. Excellent communication skills. Ability to provide outstanding hospitality to directors, designers, and actors. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain careful records of all production expenses including materials, services, and payroll for actors, designers, directors, and other production artisans. Assist in monthly reconciliation and prepare monthly expense calendars. Assist with annual budget, 6-month revision, and other annual reports. Provide hospitality for visiting directors, designers and actors during a year-round production calendar. Consult with Theatre leadership and artists about needed itineraries, research travel schedules and prices, manage the use of the Theatre’s 8 apartments and secure hotel or other accommodations, when necessary. Shopping, re-stocking, laundering, light cleaning etc. when necessary. Driving required for picking up artists at airports and train stations, including 7-passenger van. Provide administrative assistance to production office for 25-30 production meetings per year including creation of information packets and materials, reminder calls, set-up and greeting. ___________________________________________________________________________ Immediate Opening Two-year commitment requested.
