Misc: The Raue Center for the Arts, a historic 800 seat theatre in Crystal
Lake, Illinois (1 hour from downtown Chicago) is looking for production staff
in all departments – electricians, carpenters, riggers, wardrobe and stage
management. The ideal applicants should possess strong troubleshooting
abilities. They will have solid skills and experience with a familiarity with
the varied disciplines our theatre offers including concerts, dance, musicals
and drama.
Candidates must have a strong work ethic, flexibility, be able to take
direction, as well as multi-task in a fast paced environment without
supervision. Being able to think on your feet is a must. He or she will also
be able to maintain a positive attitude under an intense and often
unpredictable schedule, and work comfortably with artists in a variety of
disciplines.
As part of a complete production team, assistance in all departments is
expected as primary duties allow. Candidates should be able to lift 50 lbs
unassisted.
