Misc: Co-Producers with Fundraising skills/contacts/investor lists, are needed
immediately for a series of new musicals, and plays, in development, including
3 that are under consideration by a major regional opera company and
commercial producers. Among them are: "No Money Down," based on the original
screenplay for the award-winning (Moondance & Australian International Film
Festivals) indie, "Johnny Montana;" "Anything for a Laff!" a satire of the
1930s Hollywood Studio System; "The Amateur Sinner," a fairy tale for grown
ups; "Pocahontas," based on the play written by her great-great-grandson;
"Psyche...and Cupid," a feminist retelling of the Greek myth; "The Pied
Piper," set in the 14th century during the Black Death; "Zarzuela de
Ovejunador (The Sheepherder's Opera)" adapted from the classic Spanish play "Fuente
Ovejuna;" and "That Jones Boy! (or, the Adventures of a Bastard)" a musical
comedy of manners based on Henry Fielding's classic novel "Tom Jones."
Our most recent production, "Vacation Bible School: the Musical" played 4
sold-out performances at the Kraine Theater in October and will be re-opening
in late Spring at a Midtown Manhattan location with 3 additional songs.
Scripts, c.d.s, photos and reviews, along with the company's prospectus are
available on request.
Chameleon is a non-profit company, and plans to form wholly-owned commercial
subsidiaries to produce each of these musicals, and other new shows.
