Stage Manager Volunteers needed for the American Heart Association’s Puget Sound Heart Walk Saturday, October 7, 2006, Qwest Field We are looking for up to nine theater volunteers to help out with three stages we will have at our walk (one stage manager for each stage, plus additional helping hands). Opening Ceremonies Stage: 7:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Main Stage: 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Children’s Stage: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. We are looking for people who can juggle multiple acts (band, magician, periodic announcements, etc.), keep everyone on time and the running order clean. We will brief each manager/volunteer regarding what we expect from each stage. We expect over 10,000 walkers to be present at Qwest Field for the Walk. We will have speakers, musicians, dancers, a great kids’ play area, free food, etc. Volunteers are welcome to stay and enjoy themselves once their shift is over, or if they have a break in their shift. The money raised at the walk (over 2.5 million expected this year) goes to heart disease and stroke research, education, and advocacy programs in Washington State and on a national level.
