The Hypocrites Executive Director The Hypocrites, a small not-for-profit theater company based in Chicago, is experiencing an exciting period of unprecedented growth, and is currently accepting resumes/CVs for the position of Executive Director. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will steward the financial growth and operational stability of the organization. This position will be responsible for providing leadership in the areas of financial management, development, marketing/communications, compliance and administration. Specific duties include budget forecasting and reporting, establishing appropriate operational controls, cash-flow monitoring, ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations, and overseeing all development activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the issues facing small not-for-profits, a successful record of executing best financial practices and experience interacting with people at all levels of responsibility. Proficiency with MS Office software required; familiarity with Quickbooks and fundraising software a plus. MA/MBA in Arts Administration or comparable experience in a cultural organization preferred.
