To apply: Submit your resume directly to the Scenic Carpenter position through our website: www.avw-telav.com or www.freemanco.com General Job Description: • Responsible for the overall production design execution of scenic projects as assigned by the Scenic Shop Supervisor • Assist Scene Shop Coordinator in pulling, inspection, preparing and loading and unloading of scenic elements as directed • Assist Scene Shop Supervisor with construction and maintenance of AVW-TELAV scenic inventory • Assist Scene Shop Coordinator in preparing and pulling scenic elements • Install scenic elements on show site as assigned • Assist other departments with scenic/carpentry requirements as needed • Complete full and accurate documentation of all work performed • Maintain all shop equipment in a safe working condition • Assist Scene Shop Supervisor and Coordinator in maintaining accurate up-to-date inventories • Follow quality control standards and procedural guidelines • Attend safety meeting in compliance with OSHA and AVW-TELAV regulations • Develop and foster a positive, team oriented atmosphere • Responsible for other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent • Two (2) years college, technical trade school or three years professional scene shop experience • Must have extensive knowledge of woodworking tools and scenic construction methods • Must be able to read and interpret CAD drawings and renderings<li>Must posses and maintain a valid state driver's license • Excellent customer service skills Work Schedule: Business hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with evenings, weekend and overtime as necessary.
